Episode 162 of The Independent Characters takes campaigns to the next level by incorporating other systems into your campaign to represent the different scales of conflict. NOTE: If you are reading this - the times in the shownotes may be slightly off. We will correct that with an update soon. We also have a couple of interviews. First up is a discussion with Todd Kinkade from Tablewar about their new Kickstarter for the GEOMat. We also speak to Greg Rizzer of FanKicks about their Warhammer 40k themed shoe line. With regards to your discussion on updating Battlefleet Gothic, I was in the Titanicus seminar when Alan Merrit said categorically that they were going to be doing Battlefleet Heresy at some point but as of then (Feb 17) nothing had been started and it wouldn’t be for some time. Titanicus was about 12-18 months out and would be bigger than Epic 40k in scale, they had yet to finalise proportions but they were looking to have a Warlord Titan be about the size of a Contemptor Dreadnaught, if not a little bigger. Given what has happened to the Black Book team with the passing of Alan Bligh, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Titanicus was the focus for 2018’s Weekender.
